Does alternator power run through battery terminal fuse?
I have a 2007 Lancer with a blown positive battery terminal fuse meaning the battery drains out however, if I jump start the car and drive a bit, electrical systems still lose power followed by the engine cutting out. Does power from the alternator run through the fuse on the battery terminal or has the alternator itself gone bad as well?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The alternator is fine yes, just the blown fuse causing trouble. I bypassed the blown fuse for now (I cannot go without a car at this time), did not notice any electrical faults. The car was recently transported via roadfreight for which the battery is removed during transport, I guess the transport guys put the battery back in the wrong way round at first, blowing the fuse in turn.
Thanks for the help!

Yeah, I did not like jumping the fuse one bit, I went over to the parts shop this morning (GMT) ASAP to get a new fuse, also bought a couple of extra ones just in case. All is good now.
Thanks
