Auto Gear Change Cable
Hey how's it going everyone? So recently I changed the starter on my wife's Automatic 2002 Lancer OZ Rally and somehow I ended up breaking the plastic piece that's on the end of the cable that changes the gears on the transmission.
My question is, how do I replace the cable? (or can i just replace the piece that broke off?) All I see is a small hole where the cable goes through the firewall, but the whole is definitely not big enough to fit the whole cable through due to some bigger parts that seem as if they are permanently attached to the cable. Sorry if it's confusing. I attached some pics of the cable im talking about.
I tried jb weld to put the piece that broke off back on but it just snapped off easily after curing. I couldnt find any info on this cable on here so I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks for your time everyone.
