Question Rough Idle / Engine light on

ok so engine light came on today and its had a rough idle for a short while.. ive parked it in the garage so i can pull the mass air flow sensor from my injen CAI and clean it.. also the EGR i plan on cleaning as well, i hope this might fix it. If it doesnt could it be that i need one or more O2 sensors replaced?.. or maybe a vacumm leak?.. anyone else have this before?

Thumbs up Fixed it...

It was a poorly made coil pack that wasnt connecting to the spark plug in cylinder 3 causing it to misfire... code reader said P0303 so i pulled the crappy OBX coil packs out and put the factory ones back.. waste of money... on the other hand at least my engine is running good now

still getting a rough idle

guess the rough idle is still there but no engine light anymore, gonna have to check all the sensors and vacuum lines i guess.. im wondering maybe if it could just be worn motor mounts or something

Did you disconnect the battery when you put the stock coil packs back on? If not do that, let sit disconnected for 10 min then reconnect and let idle for 20 min or so.

Otherwise you might have fouled the plugs possibly. Motor mounts are a possibility too.

nothing wrong with the stock coil packs or plugs.. it was the crap OBX makes that was causing the misfire.. never buying anything obx again.. everything working fine now, only getting vibration from engine at random times... has to be a mount i can find no other problems

Have you tried this yet? resetting the ECU can help sometimes
