Drives: 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally Edition

car wont start

I was driving it earlier today and everything was fine. No noises, no nothing. It was sitting for about 4 hours and then I went to start it and it wouldnt turn at all. The engine was making a rapid clicking noise. What is this noise? Starter drive? Battery? Please help!

Definitely sounds like the battery with the noise your describing, pull it out and take it to a local auto parts store and get it tested to verify.

try jump starting your car!
if it starts, your battery was dead and you got 2 things you need to do:
1: find out if the battery is still good
2: change the battery if it's bad, or charge the battery if it's good.

If you get the same problem when you try to jump start, we'll look at other possibilities.
Also make sure your cables are properly secured to the battery posts..

And once you get your car jumped....do not turn it off for a good 20-25 minutes so your alternator can "charge" your battery!!!!!!
