Alt problems? Brake n Battery light On...Help me out..

Ok so i used the search button and found 2 things onto helpin my problem but checked it out and no goo... fuses good all 3 of them bat term one the one that leads to fuse box and one in fusebox fuse... i checked the voltage of my alternator and its reading 14.56 charge. my yellow top optima off reads 13.30. all this happened after some dumb guy left my amp power wire a lttle too open and yea wires plus groundin to car made almost a fire. fixed everything (including a melted brake line) and got full brake pressure and good brakes and no wires melted. im just wondering what you guys are pushin for voltage. my other lancer is pushing 14.31 running ans 13.14 off. so could the extra .25 make the lights go off? and why is the brake n battery light going off together... ahhh just help me. gonna try a new battery tomorrow. and then worse to worse im gonna try a new alternator if no1 helps me out... but i hope theres love...

For me the battery light was making the brake light look like it was on. The issue was the alternator.
