Engine Fan Issue

hey,
ok so my cooling fan is running way more often then I feel like it should be. As soon as you turn the car on most of the time it comes on, and it stays on a good 15-20 seconds after you turn it off. I could understand on a hot summer day maybe but this is happening in the fall. Is there a fan controller i should be looking into ? Or is it a thermostat issue ?
thanks

Don't quote me... but I think there was a recall or TSB on the fan controller module.
