CEL Question

Hello i have a 2002 lancer es automatic my CEL came on as well after i installed my headers i had my car scanned
first code: P0421- warmup Cat efficiency LowBank1-figuring that i think that cause the first 02 sensor is gone now that i installed headers to fix that should i get ROAD/RACE "Check Engine Light" Eliminator (For Headers/ Downpipe) from the RR website? second question/code
P0135-O2 heater circuit Bank 1 sensor 1- i dont know what that applies too can someone help i need to pass smog before the 26th of this month i know probably not likely to happen soon but the help would be great to get the show on the road plz help thank you very much

Also should i get a high flow cat to fix this problem through the high demand for them recently they are hard to get plz let me know thank you very much

Yes, in order to get rid of the check engine light, you would need the eliminator. As for the high flow cat, it doesn't hurt to have one, but it won't fix the code unless you have the eliminator. And just a heads up, the eliminator would go on the 2nd cat, after the downpipe.

For the P0135 code, could be the following:
•O2 Heater element resstance is high
•Internal short or open in the heater element
•O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
•open or short to ground in the wiring harness

Possible solutions:
•Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
•Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

Alright cool thanks for the info thats what i was looking for. Do you know if the fitment is a direct bolt on or if i have to weld it in?

Which one are we talking about? If its the eliminator, it should screw right on before the o2 sensor. As for high flow cat, if you were to get the magnaflow from rrm, should be a bolt on also.

If you have EvoScan, you can also clear them out, but you'll need to do the eliminator eventually.
