Passenger Door Tweeter Staticy

I have a 2008 Lancer GTS with the Rockford Sound System, and I think that the tweeter on my passenger side door might have blown.

The other day I was on bluetooth, and as you know, the sound from the bluetooth comes through that tweeter. Well, when I hung up the phone it kind of made a weird noise, and now it seems to be staticy.

It is only slightly noticeable when listening to the radio, but when I try and talk on bluetooth the static is very very bad. Obviously it isn't completely blown out, I'm thinking it might just be a loose wire? Any information would be appreciated.

Also, if it is blown and does need to be replaced do you think Mitsubishi will cover it. The car has 38k miles, but I don't see why the tweeter should be so staticy.

Try prying off the tweeter and pushing on the connector to make sure it is seated completely. If that doesnt fix it, i believe this should be covered under warranty to 50K.

So that little silver piece around the actual speaker just prys right off?
