low beams and high beams?
are the bulbs still good?
Are the wire harness properly connected?
Is there a relay that could have gone bad?

Very wierd I have been running 5000k HID's for about a year with no issues and no melting of any sockets

+1 on that - never had melting issues with aftermarket HIDs. Maybe they went with 55w HIDs as I don't have experience with anything over 35w HIDs.

BTW 03lances, I haven't heard from my buddy about hooking up and I am currently laid up with a bad spraign and found out I broke my ankle a few months ago! DOH! I'll keep you posted.

check the dimmer switch for the lights. If that goes out for any reason the lights for the dash will come on but the headlights will be dead as a door nail
