for the timing belt you are looking at about 50 bux if you get it from a parts store. expect to pay about 70+ from the dealer. as for the water pump 100 new / 80 remanufactured and about a couple hours of time. not too bad compared to some vehicles.

Timing belt repairs usually cost around $500 in my experience. I would just pick a service manual and do it yourself! Think of all the mods you could buy (or other bills you could pay) with the savings!

Little trick I do for timing belts is after you the get engine to TDC take some white paint and put a solid mark over the camgear and belt, and crank gear and belt, then take those marks from your old belt and tranfer them to your new belt and just line the marks on the new belt up with the marks on the cam and crank and viola your golden, works awesome and saves me LOTS of time everytime

I would also consider :balance shaft belt, timing belt tensioner pulley, timing belt idler pulley, balance shaft tensioner pulley, hydraulic tensioner.

There is no balance shaft on the 4G94. Also no idler pulley. Starting at 12:00 it goes; Cam sprocket, Water pump sprocket, crank sprocket, tensioner pulley. The Tensioner is spring loaded.
To have a dealer do the water pump, tensioner, and belt, you're looking at about $550 (if your dealer is using matrix pricing for parts, less if they are not.)
Like everyone said, the timing belt on this car is simple. From start to finish, I can do them in about 2 hours and basic hand tools.
