Trouble after intake manifold install

I recently did the 4G94 to 4g93 IM swap myself and im sure I triple checked all hoses and connections, when I went to turn the car over its sputtering really bad and I hear a loud half squealing noise.

I'm obviously thinking an air leak but I have no clue where because everything looks tight. My next step is to check the injector seals and just double check to see that they are in there tight and I did. But other than that, I'm stumped.

I can turn over the engine but it will stall out and here is the thing, when its stalls theres a loud "Pssht!" Like whatever air is getting out of somewhere. It sounds like its coming from the left side of the bay if you are facing it.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Assuming you have the 4G94... there is a little cap on the intake plenum, on the other side of the TB. Check that. It looks exactly like a freeze plug. Could be leaking.

It looks to be in good shape. The IM was powder coated and I dont see any splits in the paint. I turned over the engine while my hand was covering that part and I didnt feel any pressure...

When I did my swap, i had a problem with the IM to TB gasket leaking and causing my engine to wigg out. I didnt have all the bolts since two were too long and it was leaking past.

Were you actually able to start the car? Mine just had really rough idle after starting and a shrill kinda whistling sound from the air getting between the IM and TB.
