Tsudo N1 install on 09 GTS... My experience...

I've searched and read through the posts about the Tsudo N1 for our cars. Just wanted to share my experience installing it...

First, yes, I am on a budget and therefore wanted/needed to save the $180+ versus getting the RRM or Greddy Spectrum Elite (my choices if budget was not an issue... I know there are a lot of folks out there that believe in only going with the name brands)...

Install was easy, about 30 mins to take off the OEM muffler and put the Tsudo in. Biggest issue is FITMENT...

In my case, the Tsudo pipe was roughly an inch too long - consequently, it pushed the catback pipe towards the drivers side and away from the notch under the cross-member that gives it enough clearance to avoid rattles/hitting the metal. You could play with the hangers, push things around, etc. - but like the guy on the youtube install video, no rattles, but the muffler tip sits off-center to the passenger side of the bumper cut out...

In the end, I gave up and took it to two muffler shops (wanted to get more than one opinion on possible solutions... was trying to avoid spending $$$!). Both said the same thing - muffler pipe was too long. So, in the end, had it cut/flanged... Effectively shortening the pipe 1"... Now the Tsudo sits perfectly underneath the cross-member notch AND the bumper cut out...

The TsudoBefore pic shows where the pipe sits under the cross-member before being shortened. As you can see, it is practically hitting the cross-member.

TsudoAfter1 shows the shortened Tsudo muffler. TsudoAfter2 shows how the pipe sits under the cross-member - centered nicely under the notch (and the bumper cut out - pics of which I will add later)!

I realize there are folks out there that had NO problems with the install... So go figure!

KUDOs to SpeedElement who is reimbursing me for the shop costs. I am also sending them pics so that Tsudo can revisit the dimensions they are using...

As for performance. No dyno results. But I do feel improved responsiveness above 2800 RPM and especially above 3000 RPM when travelling at highway speeds. No difference felt in low RPM city driving. Pretty much what one would expect. For $220 shipped, I do think its a good value. Nice, deep tone. Loudness is relative and IMHO it is a little loud without the silencer. I also painted the canister a matte black to give it a more stealth look.

Hope this is of some use to anyone considering the Tsudo!

Man, that sucks, I can not see spending big money on an AB either. I was thinking about buying one of these ABs but now I think that I will buy a Works AB.

Here is a pic of the Tsudo N1 with the canister painted matte black. Also, pic of how the overall install looks with the adjustments I had to make.
