so i put fuel injector cleaner by prestone in my car when i filled up last week and now my gas gauge has not gone down it did at first but now it went back up and it still says 330 miles until empty and i have gona approx 180 miles most of which is highway miles i usualy get roughyl 360 miles per gallon could it be that my mpg has drasitcally went up or did the fuel injector cleaner cause a problem. this is probally only the 3rd time i have ever used that stuff in this car anyone have a similar problem????

i know that when i first put in the TCM from RRM, the same thing happened to me. After i got to about 350 miles i filled up, and the gauge is working fine again. It might just be some computer thing thats goin on. Just fill up when you normally would. If the problem persists after that then something could be wrong

it wasn't the injector cleaner its a known problem i had my fuel fuel gauge sending unit replaced due to it failing after 23k mi take it to the dealer will take about 3 hours to fix at no charge to you they go into your gas tank though the back seat so the inside of your car will smell like gas for about a week also dont go with a full tank of gas if you can

Wonder if thats what happened to mine? Used to say a full tank was 300 odd KM, Now when i fill up it starts at 500 odd. Drops drastically during driving as well and at about 50km left the light goes on saying i'm empty. All i did before that was change to synthetic oil.
