Drives: 2009 Lancer GTS

2009 GTS - Wierd vibration when turning slowly...

For some reason when I am at very low speeds and turning - like in a parking lot - the wheel kind of vibrates and it feels like something is rubbing or grinding. THere is no sound - just the sensation in the steering wheel. The car has just 200 miles on it - I just bought it this week. Anyone else ever experienced this?

Does the car pull to one side and wobble a little bit in the front when slowing down? I think I had a similar issue. I believe if its the same thing it is your tires. I increased my tire pressure to about 40psi and it went away. You don't have to go that high if you don't want too, but the tire will be fine. I have been running much higher than that on the street and the track for almost 17k miles and had no issues. I also rotate tires every 3 to 5k miles.

I have never had that problem with my GTS but my car pulls to the left when I am at highway speeds.

I kinda feel the same thing... I'm pretty sure it's just the tires that suck... I'm pretty sure I read on a board that someone simply changed the tires and it was like another car... Oh, and it was not doing it with my winter tires...

When I first bought my car lets say within the first 600 miles or so, I heard this noise and it was during winter season. By summer it went away and of course i put more miles as well then the noise is completely gone.
