Lancer sportback stalling problem

i've been having this issue where my lancer with the 2.4l engine stalling. it will do this about once a week. weird part is it has happen every time im getting gas for the car.

first time it died on while filling it with gas. the other 2 times it wouldnt start after filling it with gas. each time i've had to rev the engine while starting it and then put it in drive and go. if i just revved the engine it would stall again. after that it drive fine

the gas tank is about 1/4 full and gas light is not on. when it happen yesterday i notice earlier in the day it was kinda bogging down a little while idling

Could it be churning up air as it's filling and getting air into the gas line?

It happened to me once, cept the motor didn't stall, it just idled real low and reved itself back up.
