periodic inspection message

my car is giving me a "periodic inspection" message in the message center every time i start up my car. it doesn't keep beeping at me so I don't think it's an error message of any kind, I'd just like this to stop beeping periodic inspection every time I start my car up. Anyone know how to do this? I have a obdII scantool at work, maybe I can clear the code if there is one?

It's not an error, just a reminder. You can reset it. The procedure is in the owner's manual.
And also, search!
