Inportant Lancer GLX 2WD to 4WD conversion

Does anybody knows about the 2WD to 4WD converion for a 98' Lancer GLX.
I have seen some infos about it can anybody give a sugestion or a price ( just the parts ).

anybody knows Links about this kind of conversion ?

As I have posted in some other posts/threads, this conversion will require cutting the cars rear floor panel (part of rear passenger seats and part of the trunk) and re-welding a AWD (EVO or Lancer GSR) floor panel with the AWD fuel tank back in place.

Since the FWD Lancer fuel tank and floor panel will not aollow the rear transfer case and the drive shaft to fit, you will have to do such procedure....

To get the parts, it's not that hard and expensive; however, the cost of good quality labor will be high. You will need to line up everything perfectly in order for the car to "drive right"....

You're in Brazil, right? I don't know how much would that cost then....

its far to cheap

I guess you understand that you can't just use one component to complete the whole job. Given that you can find a EVO IV + 4G63 engine, you should be able to locate the transmission (gearbox) and drivetrain (front & rear transfer cases, drive shaft, all 4 axles) and new suspensions and brakes since the old one won't work with the EVO drivetrains....

You should be able to find them at junk/salvage yard in Japan, UK or Australia.

The section of trunk floor that needs to be cut out isn't actually that large but there is still quite a bit of fitment involved.

The price varies a lot due to the damaged car condition, milage, age (which EVO) and other aspects....From US$3,000 per car to $16,000+ per car...
