Warranty question

I JUST purchased a 2006 Lancer ES used and I noticed (after I bought it) that the passenger side front door rubs against the front fender upon opening and closing. You can see the gap between the door and fender is uneven. I've looked at the full carfax for the car (before I even bought it) and it has never been in any accident. If I take my car in to the dealership, will the warranty cover the repair?

How long ago is "JUST purchased"? If they back their cars and their work that simple adjustment shouldn't be anything for them!

Deal with the Dealership who sold it to you.
Carfax is great, but doesn't tell what wasn't told to them in the first place.

If someone trashed the oem fender and didn't think it was worth advising the issurance company then carfax don't know about it.

Why do you think they'll not be any help? They sold you a sub-standard car... 120 pt inspection my @ss! LOL

I called them and they told me to bring it in. Before I headed there I looked at the fender more closely and noticed where the inner fender and fender connect the fender is bent! Whoever had the car before me bumped something and while it didn't cause damage to the outer part of the fender, the inner is a bit bent. I took it to the dealership anyway and they want to put some sort a shim in the door to see if that will fix the problem... Hopefully it's not going to cause problems with fitting elsewhere.
