Heyyy guys Im new right here I need some help with my GTS I'm tacking of my manual transmission from my 2007 GTS I need some help with the shifts cables that's goes on the transmission I don't know how I can take that of If some body can help me I will be happpppyyyyyyy

anyone know how to undo the ball/socket joint the shifter cables use correctly?

First off it's a 2008 Mitsubishi lancer GTS, the 2007 model did not have a GTS trim. Secondly, if there is an issue with the transmission why not take it to the dealer as it has 100k mile power-train warranty. This includes your transmission.

Thirdly, learn how to punctuate. You have one giant run-on sentence

Go to autozone or an autoparts store and ask them, they would have the part you need.

i'll have to pass on that.

it pops off. just apply pressure upwards from the front of the socket joint. there is a clip on the back of it and if you break it you're SOL.
