it can be done... hard part is convincing a company to do it. I have been frustrated by talks that break off cause of fear of loosing a competitive advantage by releasing code or the know how.

A Japanese group has done it... I would love for someone else to crack it and create new logics for the CVT controller. possibilities are endless.

4 gear or 5 gear configuration... eg...

I think it would be a great idea. As for the tranny, getting info out of Jatco would be difficult i imagine. the website leaves somthing to be desired. I did not even bother to call them. One time I did ask a performance parts company what there spring rates were for a kit they sold for my car and they told me they were proprietary. I guess that info would not be required for replacing stock springs but when you are tuning for specific frequencies in the front and rear suspension its kind of important. They ended up telling me % increase in rate for the front and rear spring. As expected it was nowhere near what I wanted. It did not even give the car what i considered to be sport tuned frequencies for what they called a race suspension package.
