Why?
Why?
Why?

W T F? WHY ?
Cause it's the new COOL thing? You think you'll go 100mph faster with a sixth gear?
What have you done to your car that would warrant the need for an extra gear?

Sure you can. But there will be a 4G63 engine attached to it...

Why?

the 6 speed will bolt to a ralliart engine but not your engine in your es.
its designed for awd so you would have to convert it to fwd only, or swap outlander rear subframe into the rear end to make it awd.

At the end of the day the money you just spent on parts and labor probably is worth twice maybe three times what your car is worth.
All just for one extra gear? Even if you argued about the better fuel economy would save you money on gas, I'd have to say you couldn't live long enough to break even on money saved from better fuel economy vs. parts and labor.

Once again, not worth it.

^ Thatīs if he even gets a little better fuel economy. The MR tranny has shorter ratios from 1st-5th and I think that 6th isnīt an overdrive gear so itīs more for acceleration than fuel economy.

I doubt you'll ever come close to mod that car enough to need a sixth gear.
