Need a new clutch for 2003 lancer oz, recommendations?

Hi, I have 2003 lancer oz manual with 95k miles.
The car is drivable but the clutch started slipping at high revs. If driven easily it works fine but I thought it might be a good idea to change the clutch.

I don't have any mods but I might put just the cold air intake. Anyway I am looking for quicker engagement then stock but want to keep similar pedal feel to stock or just a bit harder.

These clutch kits I have found so please make me a recommendation or let me know if there are some other better kits.

ACT MB8-HDSS for $280

ACT MB8-XTSS for $350

These act clutch kits don't come with any slave cylinder nor bearings so where can I buy slave cylinder/bearings. Do they need to be some upgraded parts or even stock would be fine?

Exedy MBK1004 for $255, this one comes with all the parts needed. I am not sure but is this stock oem clutch or is it a bit better then stock?

Thanks a bunch

go with the mb8-xtss. thats what i have and love it. it holds up real nice to 7psi boost. as for the slave cylinder, its a whole assembly that you will have to get from mitsu(around madison here none of the parts stores had them) and it will be about $140 for that. i left my stock one in there and didnt have a problem.

If you dont hear your slave ticking then dont bother wit it, but you do have 95k on it so you should do it since u are gonna put a aftermarket performance clutch. I got my Slave for a $100 from the dealer.

I'm running the XTSS also and I love it. Stock like engagement with a heavier peddle and it works great with my turbo setup.

Where did you FX300 with bearing for 405?

Does anybody know if clutchmasters FX100 part number 05-051-HD00 will fit 2003 lancer oz.
On ebay it mentiones that it's for 2004-2006 lancer, but on speedcorps.com it shows that it would fit from 2002-2006.

Thanks

The disc and pressure plate would fit, but the throwout bearing will not. All clutches for 2002-2006 Lancer 4G94 engines are the same. There is a different throwout bearing for 2002-2003 & 2004-2006. So that kit would be for a 2004-2006. You could use it. You would just need to also buy a new throwout bearing from somewhere to install with it.
