trans messing up

i was trying to go in sec clutch all the way down and only was 2500 revs and it wouldnt let me it just grinded any one else have this problem or what

sounds like you didnt have it all the way in gear. the car has no real problem from starting in second as long as u keep the revs up. The only problem is that it causes more wear to the clutch, tranny and differential system.

ive never noticed that. sometimes in my lancer gearing down second gear wont engauge. put i just pull it out then put it back into second and it works fine

I've never had a grinding problem with gears 1-5. Sometimes it won't go in reverse if it is in a certain position but when I release the clutch and press it again it works.
