CVT E-Brake Drifting

Hi all,

I was just curious as to the possibility of performing a E-Brake drift with our CVT lancers without causing much problems to the tranny?

One line of thought that came to mind was shifting into Neutral, E-brake, then shift it back to drive to counter steer and power through. Does that sound right to you guys? Will this blow the CVT tranny?

IMHO...FWD is not ment for drifting....You wanna drift buy a RWD car

E-braking is not called drifting, its called sliding. Plus you will most likely blow up the cvt.

Yeah, its just sliding, not drifting lol. It's kind of fun to do in a snow-filled parking lot if that's what you mean. I always e-brake into my parking space at work because the car doesn't like to turn in snow lol.

I dont endorce this sort of thing, but lol one sure solid way of drifting just install dunlop on the rear, and a decent set of tires on the front, they are so bad I am sure you will over drift and just start spinning in circles lol hahah just joking

i have been pulling e brakes in my car since i got it and have 22 thousand miles on it without a problem. i usually do this on ice and snow so the forces on ur car are a lot lower then on dry pavement. if u know what ur doing its fine for ur car, but if ur like gassing it and e braking at the same time then yeah it might cause a little extra wear but nothing that i could see blowing it. what is that 100k mile powertrain warranty for anyway? haha
