Installing a clutch on an 03 OZ

Is it absolutely necessary to remove the wheels, tierod, etc etc.. to get the tranny out and replace the clutch? Thanks.

I don't see how you would be able to remove the axles without removing the wheels. You need to remove the wheels, disconnect the strust from the spindles, disconnect the axles and then remove the transmission.

I think you only have to take off one side if your lucky. I would say its the drivers. But yes, you do have to at least take off one side.

Thanks guys. My cousin posted this thread. He bought the car, didn't know how to drive a stick. Burned the clutch up with a quickness, had a new one put in, and then was ridin around with his foot slightly on the clutch at all times, now this one is slippin. So I took the car from him yesterday and am going to replace it and make him learn on a beater car before I give it back. I'm just waitin on him to give me the wheel lug lock key so i can get started.
