Not sure what its called....
I was shifting today then all of a sudden my shift knob could move left or right! in a gear!!! I then accelerated from a stop and found that my first gear had been replaced with my 3rd, and same with 4th.
So i opend up the hood, took teh air filter out and found that the not sure what its called or original shape looked like, cylindrical clip or something that was welded to the horizontal control of moving the shifts in and out was completly missing. Iono whats it called or how it happened.
But to do a better example in words, trying to paint a picture. There is this metal thing that turns left and right for shifting. however when you go into first or second it pops out then goes left or right. now the thingn that hooks it to the thing that poped it out isn't there anymore. I dont know if it was welded or whatever, ifzanyone knows what its called plz tell me, and if you even know further, can i do it myself? How much does it cost to fix?

Shifter bushings - on the gear selector forks. The c-clip must have broken/fallen off.

ok then thats not it.
its the joint that holds the two together
so like when you move your stick left and right, this brings the selector fork in and out.
so imagine like a clip that goes in there,it should be plastic(acoring to an evo i saw)
an it sits unerit and allows it to bring it on an out. I NEED A CMAERA
