Question about warped flywheel

Hey guys, about a year ago I had my clutch replaced, with an OEM replacement. I waited too long to replace it and it had worn down past the pads. At the time the person changing it for me went ahead and put it all back together and I didn't get to see how bad the clutch was worn down until it was all back together. So I prayed my flywheel was ok. Well it wasn't... So for a while now, bout a year or a lil less I'd say, I have been dealing with the clutch chattering.

So here is my question. If I go and get my flywheel resurfaced now, will my clutch be ok as long as there is still pad on it? I'm just worried that with the chattering and everything not being flush, that the clutch may still be worn unevenly, and even with a smooth flywheel surface things still may not grab right. Anyone been down this road before?

When i replaced my clutch i had my flywheel resurfaced before i put the new clutch in. Typically thats the way it should be done. Just like changing out new brake pads you must resurface your rotors. I would say your clutch would still be okay it will still grab but will make noises and could scratch.

You might run into some problems even after you resurface the flywheel. What I suggest is that you replace the clutch disc, which should only cost you an additional 50-60 dollars.

Unless you do the work yourself, you are spending too much money on labor just to pull the transmission. Save yourself money in the long run and have the flywheel replaced/resurfaced and a new clutch put in.

Also, don't forget the TOB.
