4G69 tranny in a 4G94?

Ok i've tried searching for this thread but couldn't find it. Can a Ralliart tranny be swapped into an '03 OZ Rally?

QUESTION are,

Why would you want to do this? What benefits are you trying to achieve from this?

Auto or Manual?

Bellhousing should be different if it's like a G64 to a G93, family-wise on the engine.

Bellhousing is different. Other than that it will bolt right up to the mounts, axles, sensors, etc. Both of them are F5M42 transmissions. Here is the gear ratio comparison:

Ralliart:
1st - 3.583
2nd - 1.947
3rd - 1.379
4th - 1.030
5th - 0.820
Fin - 4.04

Lancer OZ:
1st - 3.583
2nd - 1.947
3rd - 1.379
4th - 1.030
5th - 0.767
Fin - 3.722

the final drive in the ralliart will make each gear shorter, in turn, increasing acceleration and lowering top speed. since we're drag limited, i don't see any downside performancewise besides higher fuel consumption from cruising at a higher rpm(final drive in conjunction with 5th gear).

switch the bell housing. they're usually just to accomodate gearing or other devices. in the 4g64 swap, the 4g94 tranny is used with the 4g64 bell housing.

hey, yes they are right about the bellhousing swap, but if you were looking into a better 1/4 mile tranny as far as ratios are concerned an 01-02 mirage 4g15 tranny has an awesome gear ratio and it would be a direct swap into a 2.0/1.8 with only the 1.5 clutch/flywheel setup.

So people would need the tranny from a 4g15 and the flywheel and clutch from a 1.5 liter?
