i like the eibach's, but i was hearing that it is not good to change only springs as it will f**k up your cars handling/suspension. with springs you'll need new struts and cambers not to mention an alignment. not sure if its worth it for a 1.5" drop. just my opinion.

...... the aftermarket springs are fine with the stock suspension..... many people are fine after installing the spring....^^" but be ware that there are complains about the car is pulling to the left after the installation.... but what I heard from the dealer is that there are some early model of 07+ lancer have problem with the alignment.... I wonder is that the cause...

the height of the drop depend on your road condition... I love to drop mine with the Tein coilover... but I can't... I live in Vancouver, where we have snow in the winter.... in order to drive on snow... the max I can go is around 1in.... that's why I'm going to drop mine with Eibach Pro-Kit (F1.2 & R 0.8)

FYI, Tein is releasing the coilover soon according to their web page ^^

Not true! stock shocks are fine with almost all spring applications out right now. new struts no, cambers no, alignment yes! after dropping any car and amount you should get an alignment. As for other concerns, you can drop it with the teins only and be fine, although recommend getting a camber kit, which adjusts the positive camber the car has after dropping. My recommendation would be the tein s. techs with the ingalls camber kit and get your car aligned. but you can substitute anything in there the eibachs, works, progress, rrm grip or H&R (although im hearing mixed reviews about them) depending on the amount of drop you want to achieve.

both my evo and gts are on stock struts without any issues. you do need an alignment after the install.

eibach has been in the business for a very long time. Very reliable and good performance. Although i did hear of a guy on here who was getting spring rattle with his eibachs, but i believe he fixed that with spring silencers.
