RRM Springs Installed - take a look

They still need to settle a bit, but over all the install went pretty smooth. An impact gun will definitely help getting the stock assemblies apart. The ride is almost the same as stock and the drop is perfect...

3 hours of work and these are the results... (sorry the car is still dirty from all the rain here in the north east)

nice drop, you did it yourself in 3 hours? Was it pretty easy?

any alignment problems? Tire wear?

You said the ride is almost stock, do you notice less roll in turns? sag durign acceleration? Dips during breaking?

My GTS is grey too, thinking of a drop to improve looks and sag/roll/dips.

Let me see if i can answer all of these...

Yes I did it myself with 1 person helping me in about 3 hours. It wasn't "hard" but it wasn't easy. This was my first attempt at doing springs but I do consider myself pretty handy. An impact gun is a must (electric is fine) but we couldn't get the top bolts of the strut assembly on the rears without it. Getting the sway bar bolts lined up was a real pain but doable.

I do notice less roll, with much less sag / dipping then stock. Pot holes / speed bumps are a bit rougher but that's pretty much the price you pay for being lower. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who wants to lower the car.

I waited a week before heading to firestone for my alignment (this is a must), and it was off by only a few tenths of a degree on each wheel. I would recommend the lifetime one ($150) so you can go back whenever you feel it's off. I live in a area where there are more potholes then you could imagine. I get an alignment at least once a year..

RTW EVO, thanks for the answers. Sounds like good springs. Keep us updated on camber wear and shock/strut life. I don't think there will be any problems with a 1.1" drop though.

Cheers!

Actually I bought them from another member who decided not to install them, so I don't have an answer for that one..
