"megan racing" strut bar YEA RIGHT!
Hello,
I would like to get your opinion about my experience with this new "Megan Racing" strut bar I purchased (which supposedly is fitted for the Lancer). It arrived and looks nothing like the picture on the website. The box it came in says Megan Racing all over it and it doesn't look like the pictures on the box either. The box came obviously re-taped closed and the actual bar inside is one of those unbranded, adjustable, piddly aluminum bars and looks like it came straight off of ebay and took $4 to make in Tawain. I'm really not happy with the purchase and I want to return it. Do you agree? I'll post pics soon of both the bar and the box it came in
(i think i should probably take smaller pics next time) :|

Pic looks a little like the megan racing bars, but the megan site does not list a racing bar for our car on their website. I would give megan a call. Find any piece numbers or sku numbers you can on the strut and ask them if they stock that part. I suspect that the company in the link sold you a cheap strut bar in a megan box.

it's been two full days and i haven't received a reply to my e-mail to speedcorps. they are not giving me that warm fuzzy feeling. BTW, this is quoted from their website

I was not aware the strut bar was different than the one pictured on the site either.
I ordered one for myself and was also dissapointed to find this out. However I called Megan and they explained to me that they never made a strut bar for the Lancer like the one in the picture. However, the bar is made by Megan, despite the fact it does not bear their logo. If you want to confirm that call the number on the box below the address it was shipped from.
The item has been removed from the site until a picture of the actual product can be posted and an e-mail was sent to anyone who ordered one and was not happy with it on how to go about returning it.
Also, I'm curious as to why you installed it if you were wanting to return it.

I installed it because I wanted to give the bar a fair chance since I made such a big deal about it on the forum. It did not have much of an effect on handling which reinforces my previous opinion that was based on a visual inspection. In addition, I figured I had time to install and test it since it took almost three days for SpeedCorp's customer service to respond to my e-mail.

I know Justin responds to e-mails on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure he sent you a same day response, but I appologize on his behalf if you didn't receive the first response that was sent.
I hope you can work out a return on the part or come to a satisfactory conclusion on this.

Justin from SpeedCorps has made contact with me and has been cooperative. He is willing to let me return the item. Assuming everything goes OK with the refund I will be happy now.
