Axxis ULTs - Installed on 08 GTS and Reviewed.
At 45k on my brothers 08 GTS, he finally had enough of the crappy stopping power. There are a few options out for this car now. And I strongly suggest looking into them. After talking with my brother and reviewing what was available (EBC Green, Axxis ULT, and Hawk HPS), he decided on the Axxis ULTs (Front D866RU/ Rear D868RU). I have run these on my Evo and otter runs them on his 04RA. Lots of bite, good MOT, and low dust (ceramic pad).
Shot Bill at MAP an email, ordered these up (around $100). Installation is a breeze on this car. Second only to the Evo quick change pads.
After bedding in (6 - 60 to 20 stops with a 15min cool down), these pads came alive. Bite was on par with how my Evo felt.
I cannot stress how much better the car stopped over the OE pads. Judging by the wear on the OE pads, they are rock hard. Which explains the lack of bite, they are made to last for long time over stopping power. Great if you don't care for braking, terrible if you do.
I highly recommend them if you find yourself annoyed with the lack of braking.

These are the part numbers I have:
EBC Greenstuff (F: DP21614 / R: DP21407)
Axxis ULT (F: D866RU / R: D868RU)
Hawk HPS (F: HB435F.622 / R: HB457F.605)
The number above is the front pad - note the 866 in the numbers. That is the backing plate number.
Contact Bill @ MAPerformance - he can get them.

The Yellows will work, but are really an entry level track pad. They will eat your rotors. And they are not as sticky (bite) as the Green. Green > Red > Yellow in terms of bite. Inverse for temperature withstanding. I run the Reds on my SVTF. I would recommend those also.
