The GY Eagle GTs seem to be a good tire from all that I have seen/tested on them.

I'll be picking up a set myself for my new car next week.

I have the invo's on mine right now. Its a really nice setup. Dry weather they hold to almost any corner and after driving on them for a while they are a lot more predictable on when they break free then with the stockers. As for the rain, they are really decent going straight, I don't tempt to many corners at high speed, I have gotten my rear end out on me a couple of times around exits and in town.

Yes possible! On a FWD car with a high enough spring rate (higher than the front spring rate) in the rear suspension. Megan coilover spring rates are 8k in the front and 10k in the rear. this will allow a car to oversteer through a turn. Same effect as lower tire pressures in the rear and left foot braking before a turn. Oversteer and understeer are a function of center of gravity. FWD cars understeer because they are infact heavier in the front, however you can correct for that as stated above. Read a racing suspension book! Or a car handling book!

Very possible. In fact, I am counting on it with my new car

He is not talking about drifting, billowing smoke off the rear tires...

with exception to the Megan coilovers and the stock suspension on the GTS, most of the aftermarket kits (eibach, tien, tanabe) have slightly higher spring rates in the front for safety. it is much safer to understeer with a car than to oversteer. As for tire pressures i run 42F/42R for commute and 49F/45R on the track, but that is autocross and the turns are about 40mph max. you guys be careful running with lower tire pressures in the rear or using the Megan Coilovers. At cornering speeds greater than 40mph, things can go very wrong real quick. For autox you want a small amount of oversteer to turn the car around the corner.

i've oversteered on stock suspension

go into a turn in decent speed keeping throttle @ atleast 1/2 way in, middle of turn lift off throttle

shifts the weights of the car from more balanced around 50/50 when cornering @ while on the gas 1/2 throttle and up to 60/40 right away, causing rear tires to break loose

too much throttle and u'll understeer, too little and ur cornering too slow

i've done it many times

there is definately more than one way to do it. Having the CVT, what I do is gas pedal to the floor through the straitaway going into the turn, just before i begin to turn, break hard with my left foot to load the front tires lift the gas pedal to about 1/2 throttle then tap the brakes until the rear breaks loose and put the gas pedal back to the floor at the apex of the turn. most of the time this will work unless the turn is off camber. then you have to use other tricks. I have been getting better and better with my left foot braking and it is shaving pretty good time of my lap times. The left foot braking also prevents the cvt from trying to shift when you don't want it too.
