GTS 18" wheels on my DE

If I replace my stock 16" wheel with GTS 18" wheels do I need to bring my car back to the dealership so they can adjust the computer for MPG, speedometer, etc...?

lol what would changing wheels have to do with adjusting your speedometer?

to answer your question. no..if you went with too wide a wheel your speedomoter would read slightly more or less than you are actually going. if changing wheels made that much of a diff a lot of ppl would have stock cars..

going from De to GTS wheels you will be perfectly fine.

If you go from a 16" wheel to an 18" wheel your speedometer will be off the faster you go. Just go here and use this calculator to see how off it will be and see if it bothers you.

your speedo will be dead on, if you buy the right size tire. you will need no alignment
pretty sure that the 215/45 18 that comes on a gts calculates darn near perfect compared to the 16's that came stock.

Just make sure that you take the TPMS sensors from your 16" wheels and put them in the Gts wheels.

I can't say for 100%, but like 99% yes you will have to either swap with your stock tpms or get the new ones calibrated to your car. The sensors will probably have unique s/n that will have to get paired to the car, almost like bluetooth. Since you'll have a second set, you coula always put them on your snow tires.

noo... mitsubishis TPMS system isnt very advanced.. it reads every sensor, all they do is read air pressure and send to the ecu.. if one is wrong, it throws the light. since the tpms sensor is the same in the ds as it is in the evo, it will all read the same.. nothing different. you can use his, or use yours, you wont need to re-calibrate.. calibration is only for vehicles with wheel specific tpms sensors. which means when your right rear tire is low, it says RIGHT REAR TIRE LOW RR 20 PSI LR PSI 32 LF PSI 33 RF PSI 32.
