Ebay lower H brace=crap
Is crap. Got it for 20 some bucks shipped though. Dont see how its gonna do anything. I can stand on it and bend it....I weigh 120 pounds. Had to cut for it to clear the trans, cut to clear the oil filter, and had to cut off the back ends of it and flip them over cause they were put on upside down. Good thing my uncle can weld alluminum. SO I have this one. Think one made of steel would be better or would it be too stiff? Looks like a good base for a skid plate though lol. Input?

Not sure what you expected for $20. The point of the brace is to reduce twist and torsion on the front clip, as well as help maintain front suspension geometry in cornering.

I dont think its ebay, its the seller. Now that i have one I can see the differance in the $30 and the $60 one. Get what you pay for. But the main question, is everyones so flimsy that 100 pounds can bend it?

Mine that I bought off ebay for like 55 came in a megan racing box but it wasnt advertised anywhere on the listing that it was a megan brace. It fit absolutely perfect and performed very well. The only reason I dont have it anymore is because about 7000 miles ago, I lowered my car to sit like 5 in off the ground so the brace sat about 2in off the ground. It took a massive beating and the only reason it broke was because my engine bucked and smashed it when it threw a rod. I thought sure it wouldnt last the lowering but in the end it wasnt the lowering that killed it. It wasnt in the best of shape and I actually broke one of the bolts that held it to the frame before that brace would break. I was very impressed with the quality. However that being said, because it was an unlisted megan brace, I would probably not order off of egay again because I wouldnt know if I was going to be lucky again, or get a pile like you apparently got. You want a good brace? go megan racing. Here is a link to the seller I bought mine of of and if you look at other items, you can see that they stock megan stuff so its probably a megan bar. If you were to order a megan brace through a conventional website, it would probably cost for just the brace what you pay for the brace and shipping combined on this auction.

Eek. I dont know if I would trust it much for two reasons now. A. Cheap aluminum and 2. Your hacking it apart and rewelding it. Im shocked your going through the trouble of doing all that. Did you at all try to contact the seller and ***** at them for sending you such a ****ty product? I understand you only paid 20 bucks but still, it should at least fit correctly. I could see the original welds snapping easily but thats crazy it didnt fit.
