replaced rotors, now have noise

i replaced my stock (warped from the previous owner) brake rotors with the R1 concepts premiums. I specified the slotted only version but they sent me drilled AND slotted so i was like what the hell. I put 'em on, and it all went smoothly. However, now i have a constant but light hissing noise while i drive. Normal? I'm still running the stock pads until i get some ceramics on there (i'd imagine the stock ones would deteriorate pretty quickly).

Did you properly bed-in the new pads and rotors after install? With slotted rotors you can't just throw them on and drive away. Read about it here:

ok thats cool. i've been stopping her gradually and not stomping on the brakes at all. they've been in for about a hundred miles or so and the noise is getting noticeably less. I did know that i had to burnish them properly before stopping abruptly. we'll see if the noise stops soon.

I would uninstall them immediately. Cross drill rotors are known to have brake failure.
This is why it says "For off-road use only"

I'm thinking it's making the noise because there are slots and holes in the rotors, don't you think that would at least make a little bit of noise every time the pad touches them? It's not a solid piece anymore, it has holes and slots now. This is how my old car was when i put slotted/drilled rotors on all four.

Also, you really should've put new pads on there to match the new rotors, especially if they were warped before.

No, I had them on for maybe 8 months, then I traded in the car for my Evo. I definitely liked them while they were on.
