Best tires for stock Oz rims
I have a completely stock O3 Oz and My tires are basically racing slicks. What are the best tires I can get with good (if thats possible) performance?

Best summer tire in the oe size would be Yokohama's ES100. All season, the B-Stone RE960 A/S.

I just put Falken Ziex ZE-912's on my car and it handles great. If you're a noob you'll probably be takin the car to a shop to have the tires installed. By the time you add up the price of the tires, valve stems, tire disposal fee, an alignment, and taxes, you might realize you cant exactly afford a set of tires that costs $400 alone. A high performance all-season tire will usually be more than adequate for your car.

I got a new set of Yokohama Avid T4s. I think they are a great tire, they worked very well in the Wisconsin winner, and seem to be working quite well in the dry. I forgot the exact price, but after taxes and all the stupid charges, it was around $450.

The side wall of a 912 is too soft in 15"
912 on 16" or 17" I'd say yes anytime, but not on a 15" rim.
Azenis RT-615 anyone?

Azenis are excellent tyres, great performance tyres but the treadwear would have me concerned. If you're concerned about performance over everything else, I would say Azenis would keep you happy. But if you are looking for a good compromise between handling, wet handling and longevity, I wouldn't go with the Azenis.

To the op. My previous post meant this:
If you plan on granny driving your car, any tire will do.
If you plan on taking corners at speeds higher than recommanded, then your choices will be limited on a 15" rim. You'd get away with pretty much any tires if you were ridding 16 or 17 but 15 just s*cks. The side wall on a 15" tire is just to tall and soft, unless you go with high performance tires.
A regular tire on 15" rim will bend hardcore on a tight turn. It will greatly affect the potential of your car, and can even lead you in the ditch.
15" are great for high rpm launch, but s*ck balls for twisties.
16" are a great compromise between 15" and 17". Enough meat to launch at a decent rpm, and sidewall short enough to conquere the canyon run
17" s*ck balls for high rpm launch, but rock in the twisties(can even lead to sliding around if the sidewall is too stiff)
I drive an 03, I have ran with 15", 16" and 17". This post is based on my personal experience.
I also did the same with my Delsol. I drove with 15", 16" and 17" on the Delsol and I have noticed the same things on both cars. It's a little bit more noticable on a Delsol as the car is lighter(a 17" on a Delsol is a big NO NO unless you pack sandbags in your car).

I almost forgot about 18"
If you want to drive a road worthy crazy carpet... be my guest and get 18"
The recommandations in this post apply to Lancer and cars with similar weight, and rim/tire size combination. A car that came from factory with 18"rim, and 55 profile will most likely do well with a 19"rim and 45/50 profile tire. But a car that came with 15"rim and 65profile tire would perform like sh!t with 18"rim and 35profile tire. It's all in the rim/tire & size/profile ratio.

amazing tire, i'm running a 205/50/15 tire...mine have lasted me two summers i still have them on but am looking to get another set...they are a great performance tire and i was impressed with their longevity...and trust me i didn't take it easy on these tires, i actaully pushed them to see how much they could handle
i recommend these tires to anybody that is looking for a good high performance tire for both street and occasional track day...my buddy is looking into getting a set for his car cause he was impressed with mine and he has had a set of almost every high performance tire out there

The thread pattern, or lack of thead pattern that is, tells me they s*ck donkey kong balls in the rain.
Azenis tires are offered in very few thread patterns... which once is yours?

yeah i know, because with the smaller sidewall it is a lot stiffer and increases your handling and it doesn't hurt that the tire is wider as well is gives you more contact with the road

i thought they were fine but i never really pushed them that hard when it was raining out though...i think there was twice that i can remember when i cornered hard when it was raining out and you could feel the back end kinda slide but nothhing major, that probably would have happened with any tire.
