235 is the widest tire tried on a lancer which is what I bought. Refer to the official wheel and tire info sticky for details...

I bought a set of 255/40-17 Direzza Star Specs from Discount Tire a few weeks ago. The first time I drove the car with the new tires, the car would just about take right hand corners by itself without touching the steering wheel....so far I've identified one defective tire with a radial/conical tire pull and I think at least one more may be bad....I'm still having to rotate and switch wheels around in different combinations to identify any more defective ones. Discount Tire has been working with me and has replaced the one I know was bad without any issues. Hopefully this was just a fluke!

I bought a set of the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs and found that they have the worst radial pull of any tire I had ever purchased. I would drive down the road, take my hand off the wheel and within seconds the car would pull left or right. I was constantly having to fight the car. I had the car aligned 3 different times, rotated tires, checked air pressure and even check to see if I had a hanging caliper. It all checked out. I kept thinking what the crap! Finally a friend of mine said he had a new set of Bridgestone 01Rs already mounted sitting in his house. He suggested try them out. So, I put them on and headed out. I was completely shocked, the car did just as it suppose to. I took my hand off the wheel and straight as a ruler. I could count up to 25 seconds before ever having to touch the wheel. I ended up returning the tires to Dunlop through Tirerack and purchasing the 01Rs. I was really disappointed in the Dunlop. They had great ratings, reviews and price. I must have received a bad set or something.

Oh, one other note, the 01Rs....... I thought would pull the black off the pavement. They are very sticky.

I don't even know what radial tire pull is?

I've had 7 sets of Z1s and never had any issues with them. Great tire for the money.

Neither did I until I bought the Z1s. Basically feels like the car is way out of alignment even when everything else indicates it is not.

Radial pull can also be know as Tread Squirm. Just do a search at TireRack's site.

Again, I may have just received a bad batch.

I suspect you just got a bad batch or something weird since they're the top autocross tire right now.

$50 rebate on Dunlop Z1s

The Dunlop Z1 the most popular tire for street tire autocross Evos, because of the price and high performance.

$50 rebate on Dunlop Z1s until the end of March.
