A 245/45/18 size tire will not fit, as confirmed by CrEsT (tested on 18x8 wheel). A 235-width tire will fit, however (see post #19 below).
A 16" wheel will fit on the GTS model. It is the smallest wheel that will fit, though.

i got 19s w/ +35 offset 235/35/19. im thinking about going 235/45/19 if there's such a tyre size. 35 series too much road noise
your sidewall will be bigger and your speedo will be off by a bout 5 mph (tooslow), gearing will be thrown off and fuel mileage will suffer, if you want less road noise= smaller wheel...keep your overall diameter (wheel+tire together) the same or close to stock unless you dont care about that stuff
Well I wouldn't have to make the effort if I found out they didn't. Plus they are on another car, i was planning on buying a replacement for that car and using the present ones for the Lancer.
