no he didn't say why. Maybe he just saw that there wasn't a 2009 Lancer GTS listing on their website and stated that they wouldn't fit...
I'm assuming they would fit right? since a search on an 08 Lancer GTS yields the same bolt pattern and offset...I will inquire again as winter nears....

Wheel Size?
I looked through the thread and didn't see it, but is there anyone running a: 17x8 wheel with either 235/45/17 or 225/45/17 tires without any issues?
I saw that someone was running 18x8s in the same configuration alright, but does that mean 17s will fit by default?

Yes, back on post #18, the poster stated he was running stock evo 8 wheels that are 17x8 +38 with 235/45/17 tires. It was rubbing in the front and the rear fenders had to be rolled but then again it was a NASA racecar that was dropped significantly. On a normal or a mildly dropped Lancer I think this is about as far as you can go without rubbing issues. If I do end up getting the 09 RA I would want to run a 17x8 wheel with 235/45/17 tires as there are many good tire choices in this size in addition to being within 1% of the factory speedo.

Ok, so if it's a 7" wheel instead of an 8", as long as it's 38mm in offset, with that tire combo, that would be fine with ZERO issues (on a stock height Lancer)?
I have 16's on my SE, and would like a little bigger, but not crazy about 18's.

i was wondering if these rims would fit the gts? http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/pts/652732928.html Would the bolt pattern work with the gts and could i use the stock tires for it? Thanks for any help
