on an 18x7.5, 255 is too wide, its not recommendable, 225/45/18 is good, i am using that and no rubbing at all. its safe!!!!, I know this because I own a car accessories and tire shop here in L.A.

^^ no way. 9" would be the absolute WIDEST with the right offset and fender modifications.

its possible...you would just have to have some real fender work done and take it to someone who knows what they are doing..if the guy here got it a 18x9.5 to fit on his es..im sure its possible to fit the 10..although its highly not recommended to do so..you would have to run a skinny tire on that too..you would run into all kind of issues with that..if you had some sort of a body kit or widebody maybe..but you seem like you just want a good set of wheels..so stay far far away from anything wider than 8.5

17" rim with a 16" tire. Are you smoking crack.

225/45/18, fits perfect on stock rims with no rubbing. Had them installed 2 weeks ago.
