My "Entrance Lighting"

Here is something I like to call "entrance lighting".....We sell some weather-proof LED stripping that can be cut to any length and is good to use wherever. That is what is used on the front bumper in place of my fog lights and are now my DRL's. A buddy of mine came up with the idea to put lighting under the doors so when you open the door, the light kicks on. So the ONLY time they are on is when the door is open and each door is indepent of the other so the light only comes on when THAT door is opened and turns off when the door is closed. Anyways, it's just something else that I thought would be cool and different to do. Here are the pics.

Also, I put the "Most Unique Award" Trophy from the MidwestEvos.com B-Day Meet in the pics because I figured things like this are why I got the award

Comments and Criticism welcome

Haha, I wouldn't go with guru but thanks I think this is all I'm gonna do with the LED lighting on the outside of the car, when I decide to do the sound system there may be more!!

We sell it at my shop that I work at here in Omaha, NE. If interested let me know, I could probably pick up a roll. But as I said above, it's only sold by the roll (15 ft roll) and is $149. Let me know

Thanks again everyone...keep the comments and questions coming

Thanks man! The How-to is pretty simple overall. With this LED stripping you can cut it to whatever length. So I cut about 1 1/2 foot lengths and attached it to the bottom side of the door. Then you have to run the wiring in thru the door boot to inside the car. Then the way I did it was hook it up to each door trigger individually. So on the (+) wiring I gave it 12V constant and then the (-) got the door trigger wire, which goes to ground when the door is opened. So in simple terms, when the door is opened it gives the LED strip the ground on the (-) and it already has 12V on the (+). Pretty easy install overall if you know what you're doing. Hardest part was getting thru the door boot but not too bad either.

Sorry..its not a bulb. It's the same LED stripping that is on the rest of car. I just took the whole bulb housing out and put the LED stripping in place.
