RRM Grill & Mesh Insert

Hey guys, just installed my RRM Grill for my 02 oz and im wondering what i should do about the grill/lower mesh, should I sand it down and paint it black? and what should i do about the part of the car you can see through the grill with the mesh....can anyone recommend a good insert or something to cover it up behind the actual mesh/grill part. All help is appreciated!!!! I love the RRM grill and just want to make it look its best.

Pics are appreciated....

Some people have painted the piece behind the grill black so it blends in better
