Even though I own an evo I always wondered it would like to make a base lancer in to an evo so props to you my friend that is one of the coolest projects I have seen in a long time.

huh?. not sure what your refering to.. we cut out the front support to allow the instal and removal of the engine and tranny easier access.
It will be removable for this purpose, however I'll be using a smaller rad anyway, something of the honda size as I'm going with a liquid to air colling setup so the rad for that will get first dibs for space in the front.
Also like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. now over 20 000 views in 6 months, I'm doing my best to keep this updated. I hope to have more pics and progress soon, the goal for spring completion is still in tact.
Thanks again.

Nice build.
I'd imagine you got the bell housing from Bill H. He's working on a bell housing that will mate a r154 and a evo4-9 motor. Just a thought

Yep Bill H is the man! I dont go on projectzeroG to often anymore but I do recall him working on the r154 housing for the evo engine. I'm going to stick with the first gen 4g63 tho since up in canada there are hundreds of them vs. zero evo blocks.
I was thinking about going with the r154 housing but I can get some straight cut gears and dogs to put in the w58 once it goes so will be going that way.
I dont think they do a r154 dogbox, there is one made by hollinger tho for 12 grand or something crazy.. Like I said, the w58 dogbox should suit me just fine but that will be a bit down the road.

I think, you might be interested in that
http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drif...rift-spec.html
you are doing well, but I really think that outlander rear end is pretty ****ty choice
look at my thread, I have showed there some pics of installing evo 5 subframe + suspension + knukles combined with nissan R200 diff + hubs + 30mm driveshafts, without strong modifications
also you may find usefull my rack mounting method
I`ll keep an eye on your thread
