Juan Martinez Customs End All Build Thread

I figured it was time to start my build thread. I see everyone else with theirs and I feel left out. I have both an 03 Oz and an 04 ES. This thread will mostly focus on the 03.

Here we go.

The way she looked right after we got it.

She came with a different set of aftermarket taillights I didn't like, so I went evo style right after we got it

My cd player and in dash monitor, the monitor is gone now, and will be replaced with something else. The Sony cd player is about to go also.

I threw in my Kicker L7 and kicker 1000.1 amp that I've had since 2005. It has really held up to the abuse. The amp is probably a 2003 or 2004 model which I got used.

Here is my kicker component speakers.

Here is my cold air intake. There is also a ss clutch line install on there now.

These pics are from the fall and need to be updated. I also plan for my next update to show my plans.

Ok, here is the first wave of plans I have when tax time comes.

First. Pioneer DEH-P9800BT

Pioneer UB-100. I prefer to use my HDD and have all my music with me.

Plan on buying these also and using a 6000k HID kit

Here's what is replacing that indash monitor

And because it looks naked without gauges

The big plans down the road

Complete 5 lug, rear disk, and brembo brake conversion. I have figured out the rear, just need to figure out the front.

I am now taking suggestions on 5 lug rims 17x7.5 or maybe 17x8 with an offset (38+) that will fit over evo brembo calipers

Looks good.
Are you buying all the pieces separately for the 5 lug conversion or are you buying a kit?

I'm buying all the pieces seperately. I believe I can make it cheaper than buying any kit. If I'm right, which I hope, all I need are the backing plates, rotors, pads, calipers and brake lines. The ebrake in the drum might be transferable over to the new backing plate. I could redrill the rotors to 4 lug, which might do if funding doesn't go well.

I would suggest going with the Ralliart brake conversion.
Seems a lot easier and will be a lot cheaper.

Thats the plan. I found the backing plates on www.mitsubishiparts.com I figure less than 100 I can get them. I was thinking that an eclipse rear brake conversion might work. It looks just about the same and uses the same calipers and rotors.

Jon, can you confirm if the 2g eclipse rear 5 bolt hubs/spindles are the same as the 5 bolt ralliart ones?

No, the spindles are not the same, nor is the hubs. Have to use ralliart ones, sorry, I didn't get around to the axle today. Too cold. Tomorrow is a go I hope.

right on.. just figured maybe you discorved something new with the eclipse rear hubs..
Dont know if this helps or if I told you already but I've confirmed the spines and outer diameter on the outer cup on the lancer are the same as on the 2g. In short 2g axles fit into lancer hub/spindles.

The rear 2g hubs are the same as rear of an evo from what I've found. Check out this link. http://repo.jackmoves.com/v/shawn/Ec...ss/?g2_page=10 This guy is putting an evo motor in his 2g. He had the axles redone to use his factory hubs. I don't know if this helps.

I'm thinking about getting those same headlights... I just wish they didn't have the amber in them though...

I think thats why I like them. They are most like evo headlights with that turn signal. I'm debating if I want to make the inside turn signal into a fog light type thing like on an evo.

Update: Here are some new pics of some older stuff I put on.

Short Shifter with evo ball type knob. very comfortable.

Evo Gauge cluster

Custom grounding wire kit. Still working on it. Haven't decided if I will use one of those circle things that go on top of the battery. I've had problems on those before. I did this to help the headlights not flicker so much with my sound system.
