Slipstreams or GT3's?

I am starting to shop around for new wheels...the ones that i have now are fine ...they just are starting to get old. I am trying to find something that is light, kinda cheap, and looks awesome, so i decided to go with Rota. I am torn between the Slipstreams and the GT3's. Also in question is what size I should get. The wheels that I have now are 17's and to me they are a little too big. I am planing on lowering the car so that will make me need a smaller wheel...I also want bigger tires...205/40/17 are a little small. Whatever I do I still want black...not flat but I still want black. I need you guys to help me with my decision...and a photoshop would be helpful.

Rota Slipstreams 4 X 114.3 $133.75 for 16"

Rota GT3's 4 X 114.3 $137.50 for 16"

Slipstreams, simply cause they're very light, cheap and the subaru guys really stand behind them.

do you guys think that the GT3's would look weird on a lancer....they are generally subaru, honda, and acura wheels. i am kinda partial to the GT3's ...they just look awesome to me...but then so do the Slipstreams...DAMMIT!

Honestly, I think their both ugly (and cheap lookin').
I dont think theyll improve the look of your car at all.
I dont know about the brand so I wont judge that, but Amby usually knows what hes talkin about, so if he says their light and whatnot, and you care about performance mainly other than looks, then listen to him.
If you care about looks and improving your Lancer that way, then Id say bag 'em both, and go for the Tenzo-R "Mean 6" in Black.
In my opinion, on a Lancer those will be all kinds o' badass...

What is the weight difference between the Slipstreams and the GT3's. If there is not much of a difference, go with the GT3's.

the GT3's weigh 16.5 lbs each and the Slipstreams weigh 13.5 lbs...it really isnt the weight of them because anything is better than what i have now. I really like the GT3's but i am not sure that they will look good on a lancer. i know that they look spectacular on hondas and acuras but a lancer....? what do you guys think?

Not huge, but every bit counts if your **** like that. It all comes down to what you want, if you want performance, go rota since they have a reputation but if you want purely looks, go for motegis or some other brand along those lines. They'll be heavy, but they'll look good to most people on this board. Of course if you want both you could go for Volks, OZ, or Gram Lights, but those'll cost a lot of money.

Personally I'd say the slipstreams, they cover the drums in the rear but are open enough that if you have nice rotors you can show em off, plus they're light and cheap. Haven't really seen the GT3s on a car before, do you have any examples?

I'm partial to the slipstreams. The gunmetal w/ polished lip is what I want. I've seen the gt3's in red on some civics and I don't think they look very good. I agree with all of ambystom's points too.

I like how the GT3's look. It is hard to tell until you see them on a car.
