Infinity Sub Wattage?
I was thinking of upgrading the sub to something like the Infinity Basslink ( http://electronics.pricegrabber.com/...fers/m/430751/) but I want to know how much more bass I'll get out of it. Since the Basslink comes in a similar enclosure and has an amp built in, it'll mount in the same spot and I shouldn't need more power. Basically, I like having my trunk back and I don't want to put my old huge, complex audio setup back in.
I know the audio package is 315 Watts total, but what's the wattage of the "stock" Infinity sub? (Basslink is 200W)
Thanks!

its VERY low....like 50ish...
if you are looking for more bass you wont be happy with either of those options....
id say get one of the evo side molded boxes if you want to keep your trunk...

I have a basslink installed in my evo and it complements my system perfectly. I have had it in my wrangler and then just recently put it into the evo. I think its a great compact system, that is not overpowering at all. You can defiantly feel the bass though when it hits.

I have a 10" Basslink in my RA on the opposite side from my stock sub. While it doesn't hit like my friend's three JL Audio 12W6s and 1000w Alpine amp do, I still have a usable trunk. I've had people tell me they like mine better, though his gives better back massages.

This is where I'm torn. I was running a 1200 watt Orion mono block to 2 x 12 Kicker Comp VR's, a 600 watt Rockford Punch to Kicker components, with a 3 Farad Cap, and an Optima Red Top. I think it's too much of a setup for me now. I still love music with good bass, but I'm 25 and I don't drive around as much now that gas is $1.20 a liter :P
Still, it's either the Basslink or fiberglass enclosures for each side, and those are too pricey.

^^upgrading the factory sub in the factory box wont do much because its still such a small area inside....the magnet touches the perch..lol
ive been contemplating fiber glassing over the stock enclosure to stick out a little more to take a little deeper sub....

the Basslink comes in it's own box, similar to the stock sub. If I end up using my existing sub(s), I'll have to cave and custom-make something.

Maybe a spacer ring would be enough to mount a shallow-mount sub?
