It's a nice unit with good sound quality and great iPod integration. But, it doesn't have Navi and for a little more than the $599 price in the link you posted, you could get a double din Pioneer Avic-D3 with Navi and it would perform just about the same as the Clarion. Just something to consider.

I know this unit have no NAVI, but I'll probably receive a Garmin Nuvi 360 from my girlfriend for chrismas, so!!
As you maybe noticed, i'm from quebec and my RA was sleeping during winter, so whit this Unit without Navi I can switch the Garmin GPS from car to car!!! If i'm buy the Avic from Pioneer I paid more for the Navi system and I paid again for another GPS system for the beater!!
Anyway thx for the comment dude!!

You might wanna read the ratings in crutchfield.
I wanted to go with the Kenwood 8019 (I think).
It is more expensive but has many features and the iPod integration is great.
You might wanna check Kenwood 6019.

The Excelon 8019 look very sweet and the price is sweet too!! But the 2 USB plug is very interesting, and the fact that the buttons can turn red to fit whit the inside of our cars is great!! The only pro i've found is the **** load of wires came from the back of it!!
Anyway thx for this suggestion!!!

Yes it is a very versatile and expandable unit. And the ****load of wires will fit with no problem.

I have this head unit, and I have to say, its great. Be sure to get the ipod cable with it, I got it from amazon 2 months ago with the cable for a little over 600 I think. or something like that. I do not have the Nav installed though as I know my town really well, and wouldnt use it. Heres a picture..

I originally got it because the silver matches my interior perfectly. Now Im getting the 2-din radio plate painted to match. Great unit. Sometimes though (twice in 2 months) the ipod freezes up (really an ipod problem) and you have to reset the ipod with the 2 button procedure to get it to work again, but thats apples problem not clarions!

Oh also, go ahead and get a wiring harness for your car, because the included harness requires splicing and theres about 50 wires it seems. Also the RCA connector is seperate and has a billion RCA jacks on it. In my case I only needed the 2 for non-fader(sub) so I cut the rest off and sealed with cherry tape. Im not sure about your cars but the unit barely fit, with all the wires bundled so I HAD to trim them down and cut off the ones I didnt use. Also I cant figure out how to get the dimmer to work properly, but I think I may have forgot to splice that wire together. Oh and I had to cut 2 screws down in the hole of my 06 evo MR to get it to slide back, but then again, 2-din wasnt really made for my car. Its installed in an "Orbital" kit someone makes on this website in the evo forums.
Hope that helps

My package (which is sold now) included much more than just the head unit. What you linked to was only the head unit for $825 + shipping. That head unit doesn't come with navi/bluetooth/sirius. You have to pay extra for all those things. My package included the head unit along with the optional Kenwood/Garmin navi unit for it, the bluetooth unit, the ipod adaptor and the sirius adaptor and it also included the Orbital kit...all for only $1500. That was a steal of a deal for all those things.

I doubt it came with the orbital kit (thats the 2-din mounting kit for evos), but I get what your saying. I like mine because..
A.) I dont need navigation, but if I ever want it I can get it
B.) The ipod intergration is A+, it even knows what color your ipod is.
C.) The interior color matching

No worries. I sold all of it a few weeks back.
Back to the topic...the Clarion unit is one of the better double din units out there. Doesn't come with Navi standard, but you can add that on if you like. The iPod integration is pretty sweet...probably the best out there. And, Clarion is well known for great sound quality. Overall, it's a great unit.
