Balance Shaft Removal...
I searched but didnt find much about balance shaft removal in the 4G94. They arent any kits im aware of made for our engines. Anyone know if the 4g93 balance shaft eliminator, it comes with:
Balance Shaft Eliminator Parts
MD103722
Balance shaft
bearing, rear
MD040597
Balance shaft
bearing, front
MD092785
Balance shaft
cap (plug)
MD098626
Balance shaft
stub shaft
Anyone have any ideas on this? I had this mod done on my 1G, it frees up a few extra horses, and generally increases oil pressure, soething you want in a turbo setup

It is basically the same motor, just stroked out. So I'd say that the kit would probably work.

As far as i know there are no balance shafts in the Lancer... that goes for either the 2.0L and the 2.4 for the ralliart.
I've seen both torn down and there's nothing like it in there. They use an excentric gear to pump the oil... it's driven off the timing belt like the water pump is. I know on the 1G there's another belt in there and with this you eliminate that. And those shafts are like the length of the motor and weight like 5 pounds or more. Nothing like that in the lancer motors.
If you do find one in there... let us know.

The 4G69 definitely has a counterbalance shaft. On the attached image, part number 18 is the drive sprocket for it. I'll see if I can get a better picture.

I've had the 69 apart fully... no balance shafts that i've seen at all. If you know what one is and how the oil pump is on the 4G63 you'd see there's nothing like it in these motors.
