Lancer vs. Mirage?

Knowing that the mirage is lighter, yet the lancer has a little more HP...
Just out of curiosity, has anyone raced the two? Does anyone know for a fact how close the match would be?

LoneeeMeeeee (Cliff) raced his friend's Mirage. Mirage took it being several hundred pounds lighter, and that was when Cliff took out a lot of stuff (seats to name a few). Probably better to ask him.

Cool

I've raced a 2000 mirage and lost only once out of several races. The one time I lost I wasn't paying attention and was looking at my wife instead of the light, she got the jump on me and I couldn't catch her.
After I got my exhaust we have raced and it has been anywhere from me winning by a car length to several car length's. I was surprised at how fast her Mirage can be, plus she don't like to lose. If she had a real fast car she would be dangerous. You can see some of her mirage in the pictures of my car.

No offense taken, I've seen my wife beat alot of people in racing, I guess they think she will back down since she is a woman. She is scared to ride in my camaro though, and she won't even try to drive it.

Mirage

Which Mirage are you talking about?
The 1.5 or the 1.8? 2 door or 4 door.

I traded in my 1.5 coupe for this car.

Drives: 05 Lancer & 95 Mirage

i have a 95 mirage sedan 1.5L 4G15 i have basic bolt ons and a 50 shot of NOS i raced an 02 Lancer OZ with bolt ons and i won by a bumber with out spray. when i sprayed during the begining of 2nd and 3rd gear i won by 1 1/2 car length. i got the jump both times. it was a light to light race. so idk if we had a longer race he would probably catch me with better top end.

my cousin has a 2001 mirage 4 door, 1.8L, auto...we both took our air intake filters out for the heck of it...I also had my subwoofers in the trunk which weighed me down a bit. (This was on a close course) from a dig I jumped on him by about 1-2 cars but he came back and got me by 1 car by about 65mph

I have already mentioned this in another thread. Please don't make this Lancer vs Mirage vs the world type of thread.

IMO, Mirage sedans are a bit underpowered, even with a G93 in it and despit being in the high 2300 to low 2400 lbs. Pre-99 sedans had G15 in it. Man, it was a pig with auto. It was also a tad ighter than a LS coupe w/ auto.
